Smiling lips turn sour
and innocent eyes cloud over.
The transition between
light and dark, day and night,
procures a less noticeable
yet all the more monumental
change.
Remove that bright lying screen
and reveal yourself to me.
The night is on its way-
do you have anything else to say?
Words with confused ambivalence,
hearts that cannot tell the difference,
lets allow this dark satin sheet a chance-
perhaps seeing the truth as clear as glass.
The CEO turned philanderer
after the many busy hours,
the banker to the money-laden thief,
his greed craves beyond belief.
The night hides the truths
that we work so hard to hide,
the paper work precariously burned,
the limp bodies bobbing in the tide.
There is one thing that you mustn't forget,
so remember it every chance you get-
there are people like me, who can see through that screen...
And we can see straight through you.

So let me get this straight. You want to fly on a magic carpet to see the king of the potato people and plead for your freedom..... and you're telling me you're completely sane? (Arnold Rimmer from Red Dwarf)
